About Ascend Academy
Ascend Academy was founded January 2024. It was created to provide parents a different option to get engaging and quality courses for their students. We believe in the power of education to transform lives. We are dedicated to providing students with a rigorous and engaging learning experience that prepares them for success in college and beyond. Our courses are designed to challenge students to think critically, question assumptions, and explore multiple perspectives. We strive to create a supportive and collaborative learning environment where all students can thrive. The creation of these courses has had foreign service and home school students in mind. Students between the ages of 12-18 are welcome. Join us at Ascend Academy and take the first step towards elevating your education.

Curtis was born and raised in Idaho. He taught high/middle school aged students for 6 years. His taught AP US History, US History, World History, American Government, and Student Leadership. He holds a current Idaho teaching license for teaching secondary students. Curtis then worked at Brigham Young University - Idaho for 4 years working in Academic Advising, leading the New Student Mentoring program, and being an Adjunct Faculty teaching Career & Self-Discovery courses. His hobbies include: helping young adults grow leadership skills, coaching high school basketball, watching college sports, and spending time with his wife and 5 daughters.
